Oops, I accidently deleted the photo of my unfinished painting and my initial post. I thought the little circle with an "x" in it was to enlarge the image, but one click and "poof", it was gone! Oh well, I guess there's no point in posting it again now.

Sure, any advice from those with more experience with glazing than I would be appreciated. I've only recently gotten into the technique for my studio work and there's much to learn. I've been happy with Liquin for a medium; it dries quickly enough (usually less than a day) that I don't feel too bogged down waiting for the next step. It's really quite a magical process, getting colors that would otherwise be impossible to achieve. I hope to finish Maya this week and perhaps bring her up to the Portsmouth Arts Guild's Portraits and Figures show.

Maya is so regal and your rendering suits her perfectly.
She should glow from the inside out, so if you can accomplish that, it will make the painting. At which stage should you stop? I wish I could say. SO many times I've said to myself, "Why, WHY didn't you stop sooner...?"
Among the 60 plus in our network, I'm sure there are some who are really familiar with glazing technique. If you like, I could put a note in a prominent place on the main page putting out a call for glazing mavens? Just let me know.
