About Me:
I'm an artist from Rhode Island and make a living working as an illustrator and fine artist. I've designed movies like JIMMY NEUTRON BOY GENIUS, THE ANT BULLY, and worked on STAR TREK THE EXPERIENCE in Las Vegas. I have several books of my work out, and have a children's book out next year(2009) written by my wife. I do paintings of the day, when I can on my blogspot and talk about art in general.

A comment on this terrific virtual community...

Just to say how much I enjoy seeing EVERYONE'S work on a daily basis. It really gave me a boost seeing and meeting all these artists and creators from around this area... I find that if I haven't stopped in at least once a day or so, I feel like I've missed something!

Again, thanks Ken for starting it.

Music?

What kind of music does everyone listen to whilst working, if you listen to music? I tend to and listen to alot of styles of stuff from about 2000 CDs. A painting can determine my choice of music.

With me, it's largely Classic Rock(nothing past the 1980's although I'll love anything new the older groups do or, exponents of them do). The Moody Blues, Led Zep, Asia, The Eagles, Pink Floyd- mostly where I have on as "background noise' -WZLX in Boston. We just went to the Moody Blues concert in Pro… Continue

Hi Ken-it's at the B&N over on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. I think we only have three B&N's in RI and that's the Warwick one. Should be alot of fun.

Yes - here I is. ;-) Thank you for the invitation and compliment. I'd say nice pic to you but that'd probably sound pompous. lol

BTW ... I totally agree with the below comment regarding B&W.

Hi Bob,
I love the B&W process. There is a much higher priority to the strength of composition in B&W than in Color. Often a color image will get by on strong color and weak composition until you look at it carefully, that almost never happens in B&W.

There does seem to be a lot of us here on the site from Warwick, my home and studio is on Love Ln. been here for about 9 yrs...David
