- I am a full-time mom/part-time artist. My family is the most important thing to me, and they are so supportive of me doing art every day! Painting is a slightly obsessive pursuit. I love to put the paint down and watch it transform a blank space into something meaningful. I am a self taught artist and have never had a single course in oil painting. Experience has been my teacher so far.

nice series. i love the composition of these cloud formations and oblique interest with red field.
Thanks Jay. You know, I need to learn a lot about art. I really just paint what looks good in my eyes, so I'm glad that others can find some sense of technique behind it all even when I don't plan it out that way:)
i realy like this one. great compositional balance for interest (vertical up stokes in clouds and vertical boat mast balance horizontal seascape elements) eliminating a dominance and gaining unity. Marvelous simplicity and palette.
