The National Museum of American Illustration

I've been meaning to visit the National Museum of American Illustration in Newport ever since it opened in1998, but I kept baulking at the rather steep $25 admission fee. They recently dropped the price to $18, which is quite a bit more reasonable. Bit of a downer.

This rain has left me lamenting the fact that my favorite Peonies are already waterlogged and not worth photographing this year. I am so disappointed that I will have to wait again for next year unless I purchase some at the local flower shop. Continue

web hosting

I just recently discovered that the free web hosting geocities is going to be no longer, very very soon. Unfortunately, that is my web host. I am a bit distraught as I've worked extremely long and hard on my web site that I've been maintaining since 2002. Yahoo, who owns geocities, is offering web hosting but one has to pay for it. I'm debating on putting some sort of 'tip jar' up on a paid site just so I can keep my site... as the price of the web hosting jumps after 3 months. Its reasonable, i… Continue
